2016 MID-ATLANTIC CONFERENCE FOR REIKI PRACTITIONERS - COLUMBIA, MD

Patricia Venter is a Reiki Master Teacher, a Life Coach for holistic Wellness, Counselor, a facilitator of workshops such as Meditation, Stress Management Across Cultures, Effective Communication.

She was raised in a strict religious household with tenets of Judaism as ascribed in the origins of Hebrew Isrealite scriptures relative to One God. A practitioner of Buddhist Nature of Mind teachings for more than 30 years, she was taught by many Tibetan Buddhist lamas of the Kagyu, Gelupe, Mahayana, Nyingma, Sakya traditions, and the Incarnation of Terton Dorje Dechen Lingpa and Dzogchen teachers. For several years she studied and practiced Samatha (One-Pointed) meditation with a Tibetan Dzogchen Master, who is Head of the Rahob Monastery of Tibet. As a young adult, she practiced Hatha Yoga with meditation and other forms of holistic wellness methods as well. She is the author of “Moments in Time - a Gift: A Personal Progression of Human Development in Spirituality,” “An Approach to Teach Reiki with Design and Theory: Master Teacher Level;” and “Reiki Plus More, featuring Reiki Levels I, II, and III.”

A retired Diversity Program Director from Northeastern University, in the Division of Cooperative Education (now called Experiential Learning) where she serviced students, faculty, staff, administration, one of her responsibilities was that she implemented and managed a Cultural Awareness Train-the-Trainer Program for administrators, faculty, staff, and co-op employers as appropriate. As a result of that Program, she co-authored two articles and presented them in Beijing, China with two former colleagues. They were “A Diversity and Training Model” and Dimensions of Diversity.” Her post employment status includes lecturer/teacher of self-help initiatives, counseling and meditation. Her educational background is in Human Services with course work in Social Change and Clinical Counseling; and programs in Conflict Resolution, Developing Cultural Awareness Train-the-Trainer Program, to name a few. She lives in Boston, MA.
